G12-M4D Tethered Power System
The G12-M4D Tethered Power System is specifically designed for the DJI Matrice 4D/4TD series drones, providing safe and reliable long-endurance flight capability of up to 24 hours or more. It resolves operational shortcomings such as limited flight time, rapid battery depletion under heavier payloads, and the need for frequent battery replacements. It is ideal for scenarios and environments requiring prolonged hovering or the carrying of high-power payloads, successfully expanding the operational capabilities and application fields of the Matrice 4D series drones.
The system consists of a ground-end device (tether box) and an airborne device (airborne power supply). The all-in-one tether box integrates an AC/DC transformer module, a tether cable, a cable winding/unwinding device, a servo motor, a communication module, a cooling system, and a control management system. The lightweight DC/DC airborne power supply can convert 850V high-voltage electricity into the low-voltage power required by the drone and its mission payloads, delivering constant, regulated, safe, and reliable power supply.
The system utilizes 850V high-voltage power transmission, allowing the tether cable to be thinner, lighter, and have less wind resistance, thereby reducing the load on the drone's propulsion system. The brand-new AI speed and torque control system supports cable winding/unwinding speeds of up to 3 m/s. It supports rapid ascent/descent and emergency stops without issues like cable twisting, cable shaking, large cable sway, or cable jerking during sudden stops, achieving truly hands-free, contactless, and automatic cable management. It also supports multi-terminal interconnection across equipment, smartphones, computers, and drone remote controllers.
The Matrice 4D series tethered drone comes with an integrated gimbal camera and can carry mission payloads such as floodlights, searchlights, and loudspeakers. This enables applications such as long-endurance hovering video recording, regional surveillance, high-power illumination, search operations, and audio broadcasting.

✗ All similar products claim to have automatic cable retraction function, but the so-called "automatic cable retraction" is a manual adjustment or button retraction method, which generally requires manually setting different gears. However, if the torque is high, the force will cause pulling force on the drone, and if the torque is low, the cable cannot be retracted. Button retraction requires the drone to fully land before it can retract the cable, and cannot achieve automatic cable retraction without operation.
★ Excellent wind resistance capability

✓ When the wind blows on the cable, it will bend flexibly due to the maintenance of tension. When the wind is weak or stops, the cable will recover to maintain tension, and there will be no pulling force on the drone in this state.

Although it has an insulation layer and is resistant to high voltage breakdown, there is still a risk of high voltage leakage in humid environments or under conditions such as wear and tear that may occur during use. Even if insulated gloves or other methods are used to touch the cable, there is a risk of electric shock.
